Recognize signals, take steps

Do you have concerns for someone close to you who is struggling with physical, emotional or social challenges? Whether you are a healthcare professional, family member, neighbor or caregiver, your involvement is valuable. We want people to be in control of their own situation. Therefore, we recommend that you first review the steps below to see if they can resolve your question. If not, please contact us.

Healthcare professional
A good conversation is the foundation of good care. Take the time to really listen to your client. How is the person doing? What does this person need to feel good? Explore together what is possible in the immediate surroundings: is there family or someone in the neighborhood who can help? Are there other friends or other people involved who can help? Do activities in the neighborhood fit the wishes or needs? Also use our theme pages under "What keeps you busy?" for helpful information and additional support.
Point your client to our website, so they can find information or contact us themselves. Or help as a healthcare professional, with permission of course.
For you as a healthcare professional: on our website you will find topic pages with practical tools to support you in your role.
In this way, together we ensure a stronger life in which your client retains control.
Family and loved ones
Worried about a loved one? Start the conversation and ask how things are really going. Together you can see what support is possible in the immediate area. Perhaps family members, friends or neighbors can help.
Do you need concrete tools? On our theme pages you will find valuable information about signs and challenges at the physical, social and emotional levels. You will learn how to recognize them and what you can do to help.
In this way, together we ensure a stronger life in which your loved one remains in control.
