That's why we help residents get a grip on their situation, develop resilience and participate fully. Our motivation? To strengthen people so that they can continue on their own. We look at what someone can do themselves, with support from their own environment, before specialist care is needed.

Since our establishment in February 2018, we have been committed to the residents of Houten. As executor of the Youth Act and Social Support Act, we focus on prevention and support for both youth and adults.

Our team of enthusiastic professionals brings together a wealth of experience and knowledge. This rich mix of diverse expertise enables us to really make a difference for inhabitants of Houten and its surroundings. You can find us in all districts of the municipality and the outlying area, where we work closely with partners in the Social Domain.

With prevention and light support, we prevent small challenges from becoming big ones. We insert where necessary and step back as soon as someone can manage on his or her own. Together with local partners, we build a strong social base in which residents feel supported.

We offer customized care and support, without unnecessary barriers. This gives everyone room to participate, feel valuable and maintain control over their own lives.

Behind every resident we support are the colleagues of Social Team Houten. They are the power behind our organization. With different areas of expertise and experience, they bring talents that make a valuable contribution to strengthening residents so they can take control of their own lives. This motivates the team every day. Therefore, we work with dedication to make change possible for the residents of Houten.
