My child has questions about fake news

My child has questions about fake news

Children are seeing more and more fake news on the Internet. Especially on social media, a lot of information is untrue. As a result, they can easily believe wrong things. It is important that children learn what is real and what is not. That way they can better deal with everything they encounter online.

What can you do?

What can you do?

Ask your network

Ask other parents or caregivers in your network how they deal with fake news. They may have helpful tips or websites that work well with their children.

Teach your child to think critically

Talk to your child in a simple way about what is real and fake on the Internet. Explain that not everything they read or see is true. Teach them to look at where the news comes from and whether other websites say the same thing.

Tools against fake news

The platform Is That Really So Helps children recognize fake news. Your child will learn what fake news is and what you can do if you come across it.
