I have problems at home
I have problems at home
Sometimes things don't go well at home. Maybe there are frequent arguments. Or your parents are struggling, are splitting up, or you have to take care of someone. This can cause a lot of stress. You may feel angry, sad or tense. You are not alone. There is help, and you are not alone.
What can you do?
What can you do?
Talk about it with someone you trust
It helps not to keep everything to yourself. Maybe you can talk to a friend, family member, mentor or neighbor. Just saying what you're feeling can be relieving.
Move or seek distraction
Go outside, walk, rollerblade or exercise. This way you can think about something else for a while. Drawing, playing or listening to music also helps you relax.
Talking anonymously is also possible
Want to talk to someone you don't know? Then you can call, chat or app with The Children's Telephone. It's free and you don't have to say your name. They always listen, without judgment.
What do we do?
What do we do?
Do the tensions at home persist and do you notice that it becomes too much? Then you can turn to the Social Team Houten. Together we look at what you need to feel safe, seen and supported again. We listen without judgment and you decide what you want to share or not.
