I feel alone or not seen

I feel alone or not seen

Sometimes you feel that no one really notices or understands you. You are there, but you still feel alone. This can be at home, at school or in your free time. Many young people feel this way at times. It's okay to feel that way, but you can also do something about it.

What can you do?

What can you do?

Talk about it

Talking relieves. Maybe you know someone you trust, such as a friend, family member or someone from school. You don't have to know exactly what you're feeling. Just telling them often helps.

Participate in an activity

Meeting new people can be exciting. But you can start small. Maybe there is a sports club, workshop or group you can join. You don't have to become friends right away. It's already nice to see other people and do something together.

Join Us - especially for young people

Do you often feel alone? Then Join Us might be for you. This is a group for young people like you. You do fun things with others and learn how to connect more easily. You don't have to do anything you don't want to. You set the pace. You are welcome just the way you are.

Shine - youth center with performing arts

Shine is a youth center with performing arts. A place in Houten where young people can go for lessons, projects and activities. The ultimate combination of art and welfare for young people. With an enthusiastic team they ensure that young people meet, develop their talents and realize their ideas. Everyone is welcome at Shine. M/f/x and whatever background you have. At Shine everyone can and may be themselves. Even if you don't yet know who that is.

Discuss it at school

At school, talk to someone you trust. Think of your mentor, a teacher or confidant. They can work with you to see how you can feel more comfortable at school.

You can always talk anonymously

Do you find it difficult to get started? Or would you rather talk to someone you don't know? Then call, chat or app withThe Children's Telephone. It's free and you remain anonymous. They listen without judgment.

What do we do?

What do we do?

Have you been feeling alone for a while? And can't manage to change anything yourself or with school? Then you can come to us. We listen to your story and think with you. Together we look for what you need to feel less alone.
